Aventura

Arthritis & Rheumatic Disease Specialties (AARDS) COVID-19 Long Hauler Clinic
2801 NE 213th St. Suite 801, Aventura, FL 33180

Multidisciplinary Long-Term Recovery

The Arthritis & Rheumatic Disease Specialties (AARDS) COVID-19 Long Hauler Clinic has been treating several COVID-19 “long haul” patients using a multidisciplinary holistic treatment approach tailored to the particular presentation of symptoms of each patient.

The Clinic provides treatment under the notion that many of the symptoms of COVID-19 are a result of an overactive immune system response which allows cytokines (the body’s anti-inflammatory cells) to indiscriminately cause inflammation and problems with many or all of the organs in the body: the same mechanism that occurs in many autoimmune disorders such as systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE), vasculitis, rheumatoid arthritis and several other conditions. Pharmaceutical treatments at the Clinic range from corticosteroids to biologic drugs depending on the symptoms and medical history of the patient.
