Multidisciplinary Long-Term Recovery

The Bangkok Metropolitan Administration (BMA) has launched special clinics to treat people with long COVID symptoms in nine hospitals across Bangkok.

According to Dr Suksan Kittisupakorn, director of the BMA’s Medical Service Department, people who still have symptoms after recovering from COVID-19 for weeks or months should seek an early diagnosis and treatment. Symptoms can include chronic fatigue, shortness of breath, headache, diarrhea, chest pain or discomfort, impaired concentration or memory problems. One of the symptoms doctors are concerned about is breathing difficulties, which could be caused by scarring or other long-term damage to a patient’s lungs.

To make an appointment: The clinics are open Monday through Thursday during regular hospital hours, and appointments can be scheduled through the Bangkok Fast & Clear (BFC) system.

The BMA also intends to launch online diagnosis and treatment via the MorBMA mobile telemedicine application in the future.

FV Hospital Post COVID-19 Check-up Programmes
6 Nguyen Luong Bang St., Saigon South (Phu My Hung), Dist.7, Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam

Multidisciplinary Long-Term Recovery

To help identify the condition and cause of post-COVID-19 symptoms, FV Hospital is implementing a general health check-up programme to support patients in managing long-term sequelae until recovery. FV Hospital is implementing a special Post-COVID-19 Health Check-up Programme with three options for care:

  1. Standard Programme: suited to patients with few or no symptoms of Post-COVID-19.

  2. Extensive Programme: designed for patients with more pronounced ear, nose, and throat symptoms who need more in-depth examination.

  3. Comprehensive Programme: for patients with multiple symptoms and damage to multiple organs due to COVID-19 infection, most of whom have been hospitalised for COVID-19 treatment.

FV’s Post-COVID-19 Check-up programme also focuses on certain functions and organs in the body, particularly areas heavily affected by COVID-19 disease, such as the cardiovascular and respiratory systems. Examination packages will provide reports from overview to details, helping doctors accurately assess the patient’s condition after contracting COVID-19, and doctors will also propose a treatment plan, or have a plan to monitor and control symptoms optimally for the patient. In particular, all patients will be examined by and consult with a nutritionist to establish an appropriate nutrition regimen to help improve their physical health and natural immunity.

To make an appointment: Register for a Programme online.
