Georgia & Rhode Island - CVS Health

Georgia Tech, Atlanta & Twin River Casino, Providence, Rhode Island
CVS Health is setting up drive-thru testing locations and hopes to perform up to 1,000 tests a day.
The sites will use Abbott Laboratories’ rapid COVID-19 test and make testing available to patients who meet the guidelines from the CDC and the state governments. Both sites have large parking lots that can accommodate multiple lanes of cars.

First Responder Testing - Massachusetts [CVS]

CVS launched its first drive-thru testing operation at one of its Massachusetts stores on March 20.
This site tests First Responders Only.

On March 13, CVS, Walgreens, Walmart and Target executives gathered at the White House and pledged to open drive-thru testing locations, but only CVS has opened a location so far. CVS and Walgreens have been hampered in their efforts to ramp up more drive-thru testing by supply constraints for tests and for personal protective equipment for their pharmacy staff conducting the procedure.

Los Angeles, California

SoapBoxSample, an LRW Group company, is working with USC Price School of Public Policy, and seeking people in Los Angeles to participate in a COVID-19 research study for antibody testing to track the trajectory of the pandemic. The study hopes to find out how many people in the county have ever contracted the coronavirus, painting a more accurate picture of the spread of the virus. SoapBoxSample, an LRW
Group company, is working with USC Price School of Public Policy and the L.A. County Department of Public Health on this study.

Antibodies are specific proteins made in response to an infection and are found in the blood and in other tissues of those who are tested after infection. Finding antibodies during a serology test would mean that a person had an immune response to the coronavirus, even if they hadn’t developed any symptoms.

These studies will begin at 6 sites this weekend and continue at drive-thru sites throughout the county every 2 weeks over the next 3 to 4 months. Testing locations will not be disclosed and people cannot walk up and get tested. Sign up to be notified when testing or research opportunities become available at:
